White as Presence
Rethinking neutrality through material and perception

In Memories of White, white is approached not as a passive background, but as an active field of perception. The exhibition brings together works that operate through restraint—where meaning is not declared, but constructed through proximity, texture, and duration. Positioned between material exploration and sensory experience, the exhibition proposes white as both container and content: a space where memory, body, and environment intersect in subtle yet deliberate ways.

CRISTINA TOSCANINI

At the white T-shirt it arrived without even moving. They had been together forever. You just had to listen to each other a little more. Feel the desire for a truce with oneself to the fullest. At design, however, she ended up in her arms when she was 4 years old, immersed in family activities, where for decades clothes racks and accessories have been produced for international brands. TOSCANINI is the brand of brands, the ghostwriter of fashion: go look closer, from Armani to Valentino, underneath there is always the ā€˜support’ of TOSCANINI, his grandparents, his parents, his brothers.

One step back.
He was born in Borgosesia (Italy) and, after working seven times in the family business, then went to Milan, where he began studying forms and functions. The forms of functions. And how does a form work? But beauty does not give way. He also wants it in safety shoes (Neptune, selected ADI Design Index 2004). He doesn’t give in to love either and has fun with Longue Love (1998), a chaise longue that investigates the forms of eros, which finds relaxation in sensuality. Finally, under sport, you will find Snowboard Design, an exhibition selected for Turin 2008 World Design Capital and the coordination of the Master’s in Extreme Sports Design (for the European Institute of Design).
Every seven years he changes experience and position in the world. After the IED and a few ā€œtripsā€ for companies (Pupa, Umdasch Shop Concept, U-POWER Group), seven years in her design studio, the same number in TOSCANINI and now the seven years of CTw open up to her. Maybe this time there will be more.

One step to the side.
ā€œI needed the white t-shirt so I wouldn’t iron shirts. But the ones I found around I didn’t like all the way through. Too banal. Too pretentious. Too minimal. Not very feminine. Too yielding. Not very compliant. Too authorial. Not natural. Oh my God, not quite like that. But I mean, I wanted something that was home.My. And of course ours, yours, them too.ā€

LUTHVI KUSUMA WARDANI

Founded during the Covid-19 pandemic, Luvy Pottery began as a way to support and uplift local craftsmanship during a time of uncertainty. Through my design, each piece becomes a collaboration where vision meets skilled hands, and every detail carries care, meaning, and story.

Each creation is a dialogue between design and handcraft, produced in limited pieces, carrying both purpose and soul. Luvy Pottery produce 100% handmade and collectible ceramics with a unique design in limited pieces and proudly made in Indonesia. Each batch, they produce different design and colour, so, once it’s sold, they won’t produce it anymore on the next batch.

THIO CERAMICS

Born amidst the cold winters of Eastern France, my life has been a relentless quest for light and distant horizons. My sensory awakening began in Algeria, where the vibrant markets and the vastness of the Sahara ignited a lifelong passion for travel and human connection.
I have always been a “forager-cook” at heart, and my path has been as unconventional as my cuisine. To fund my dream of
sailing the world, I worked as a gold prospector in the rivers of Southern France before honing my culinary craft in French Embassies from London to Algiers. For eight years, I helmed my sailboat, Nael, across the globe—from the Panama Canal to the remote tribes of Papua New Guinea. It was during my twenty years in Tahiti that my fascination with botany truly took root. By merging my French culinary heritage with the wild flora of the Pacific, I developed a unique “Botanical Gastronomy.” Now based in Bali, I continue to explore the hidden soul of plants, flowers, and roots, sharing my discoveries through my books and culinary workshops. “Cooking Flowers & Tropical Plants” is the culmination of this lifelong journey: a bridge between the art of fine dining and the ancient wisdom of nature.
